Crypto wallet and exchange Exodus releases update with improved network speed

Cryptocurrency wallet and exchange platform Exodus has announced their latest release which provides a huge boost in network optimization, allowing for smoother running of the platform. No new coins were announced on this update, but back in April, the platform listed its first new asset for 2017 with the inclusion of Golem (GNT).

The team said this update focused on performance tuning and optimization. Over the past two weeks, developers reported they have fixed a number of the top reported bugs on the software and gained tremendous network optimizations everywhere. This update is important as it will save bandwidth and CPU resources with the Exodus network code now leaner and faster.

Aside from the performance upgrades, the wallet has seen new improvements and bug fixes, all listed below:

Wallet release notes:

  • Can now export detailed transaction reports from the developer menu.
  • More details about the breakdown of fees, and the total KB to equal the cost, on the lower right of the bitcoin send window.
  • Users can now click the available balance or the fee description to open a knowledge base article with more information about balances, fees, unconfirmed transactions and how things are calculated.
  • Now if the bitcoin fee is greater than balance, (this happens with miners or users having a large number of small payments over time) Exodus makes that clear on the send modal.
  • When sending Golem or Augur Exodus uses a tiny amount of Ethereum to send these assets – these fees are now listed in the main Ethereum wallet.
  • Random deposits of Augur and Golem would show up in the transaction list but not added to the balance until after a refresh. Both the balance and transaction list are instantly updated now on all deposits.
  • Ethereum rescan has been rewritten to find even more edge case Ethereum in hiding.
