South Korean internet company Kakao, a major provider of a popular messaging app for Korean users has announced the launch of a new Korean crypto to crypto exchange called UPbit in partnership with the popular bitcoin and blockchain asset exchange Bittrex.
The website, for now, is just a signup and announcement with notifications stating that the app will be released in October. They are going to use the technology of Bittrex, likely rebranding their platform for Korean users, which means there will be 200 cryptocurrencies and assets available.
Kakao is the number one messaging app in South Korea with over 95% of smartphones having the app installed. The exchange will provide easy access for Kakao users.
The exchange will provide wallet security from BitGo.
